Restaurants

Weezie’s Patio Cafe is an open air restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch with produce sourced locally from our garden on Caye Caulker. The Cafe is open daily from 7:30 – 3pm and the bar is open all day until 8pm.

All of our hotel rooms and cottages have fully equipped kitchens except for the Standard Room which has a fridge and microwave. There are two main grocery stores which are well stocked, numerous convenience stores and several fruit and vegetable stands. The best place to purchase wine and liquor is at one of the two duty free shops in the international airport when you are waiting for your luggage.

Caye Caulker has over 50 restaurants, from simple and inexpensive to fancy and more extravagant, all within a short walk or bike ride from Weezie’s. Some of our favorites include:

Suggestions Cafe – A French Cafe located just around the corner with yummy pastries, breakfast, and coffee. In the evening, enjoy pizza and a daily special in the tropical jungle setting.

Maggie’s Sunset Grill – Small family run place on the backside (west) of the island down towards the Split. It is in a casual picnic style way, true Caye Caulker fashion, with amazing fresh seafood dishes.

Pasta Per Caso – A tiny restaurant that fills up fast, reservations recommended. Anna and Armando are an Italian couple who create two special homemade pasta dishes each night. Slightly on the pricier side, but one of our favorite spots on the island that never disappoints.

Happy Lobster – Our go-to for breakfast, but they also serve lunch and dinner all at reasonable prices. It is run by Miriam and her lovely family.

Amor y Cafe – Delicious coffee, waffles, and breakfast sandwiches. It is run by Mika, a Danish lady, and her friendly staff.

Il Pelicano – Delicious Italian food in an elegant garden setting. One of the fancier spots on the island with amazing pizza that can’t be missed. Enjoy live music most nights with your meal.

Paradiso Cafe – Tasty breakfast and lunch including salads, ceviche, fruit bowls, french toast, and some of the best sandwiches on the island with great ocean views to enjoy during your meal.

Errol’s House of Fry Jacks – The best deal on the island and a local’s favorite! Serving fry jacks stuffed eggs, beans, cheese, or whatever you like for just a couple of dollars.

Rainbow Grill – Consistently good food from the chicken curry to a club sandwich. The dining room hangs over the Caribbean Sea, offering amazing views while you enjoy your meal.

Hibiscus – Located in the old phone building and has a great Caribbean vibe. Our favorite place to eat fish and the seafood curry is phenomenal. Definitely on the pricier side, but we love to go here our last night on the island as a treat.

Barrier Reef Sports Bar and Grill – The go-to spot for evening fun! There is live music a couple nights per week as well as trivia nights. Also a great spot to watch sports games on one of the many TVs.

Namaste Cafe – Great atmosphere and delicious food. Make sure to catch the donation based yoga class while you’re there.

Reina’s – A quaint 7 table restaurant with fantastic food and drinks. This is a great spot for an authentic Belizean meal and can’t be missed.

Chef Juan’s – Great food at great prices. The stewed chicken and desserts are some of our favorites. They don’t serve alcohol but you can bring your own.

The Pelican Sunset Bar – Locals and tourists alike love to gather here for sunset. The drinks are great, but don’t forget to order food. The ceviche is one of our favorites!
